Alice in Wonderland
A family friendly evening of dance! In Alice In Wonderland you join Alice as she follows a white rabbit down a garden hole where things get curiouser and curiouser. In Wonderland Alice encounters the Mad Hatter, Queen of Hearts many strange creatures including the Chesire Cat, Catepillar and Dormouse. Confusion piles upon confusion until Alice wakes with a start realizing it was her imagination that took her on this magical journey. Paquita is the first of the famous classical choreographer Marius Petipa was created in 1847 and Studio to Stage follows young dancers journey to the stage today.
Guest Artist Alison Cook Beatty Dance will perform TINTINNABULI, which premiered at The Joyce Theater in 2012, commissioned by Ballet Next. An excerpt for two dancers will be performed by Carolina Rivera and Artistic Director Alison Cook-Beatty, with music by Arvo Pärt, Tabula Rasa. Alison Cook Beatty Dance is based in New York City and is celebrating it’s fifth year.
