YoungPlaywrightsLogo FinalStamford, CT – Students from Westhill High School and Stamford High School have been working diligently with teacher Mathilde Dratwa over the past few weeks during the 2nd Annual Young Playwrights Festival. The program sponsored by Pitney Bowes, improves literacy skills through reading, acting and script writing and culminates in a live performance of the students’ fifteen minute one-act play on Tuesday, December 16th at 7:00 p.m. at Stamford’s Palace Theatre.

In addition to improving literacy, this 10-week program nurtures creativity, cultivates the students’ modes of self-expression, and improves self-esteem. It provides them with a creative outlet that is not offered in school.
